Day 1
Transfer from Manaus airport to a Honeymoon suite at the Hotel Tropical in Manaus. The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure. Evening may be used to visit the nearby Ponta Negra Boulevard where you can enjoy nightly native dance shows, art shows and local craft markets.
Included are a welcome bottle of champagne, a 1-hour his and her massage and dinner for two.
Day 2
After breakfast and checkout, departure for Amazonat River Lodge by hydroplane. The 45 minute flight will show the expanse of the Amazon and land in the Urubu River in front of our floating River Lodge. Check in to your honeymoon suite followed later by a night canoe trip.
Day 3
We will explore the Urubu River and learn about the ecosystems surrounding this blackwater river. This includes a visit to an Igapo or flooded forest where we can admire the beautiful reflections and fauna. In the evening we will go alligator spotting so you can see this fascinating reptile up close.
Day 4
Morning visit to a small riverbank community with a school built on an archeological site. Later, a visit to a farm that grows the famous Guarana fruit.
Day 5
Day is reserved for relaxation or other independent activities. Bird watching, swimming, kayaking, fishing, picnic in a nearby island or observing the rainforest from our panoramic deck are just some suggestions of what can be done in this idyllic spot.
Day 6
Three hour jungle trek in the Indian Reserve where we will observe and learn about the rainforest. Afternoon free at the River Lodge to enjoy this beautiful location.
Day 7
Early 6:00 am canoe transfer back to Muirapucuzinho where the waiting van will take guests to the Manaus airport. We will make a short stop at Amazonat Jungle Lodge and later visit Meeting of the Waters, the spot where the mighty Negro and Solimoes Rivers meet to form the Amazon River (in Brazil). Before arrival to the airport, if time allows, we will stop outside the historic Manaus Opera House.
